About Me

About Me

I have been managing Technology development programs for over 20 years and am currently a project management teacher, trainer and consultant.  My B.S. is in Chemistry, my Ph.D. is in Materials Science, and I hold a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).

My project management career began in 1988, when I began building crystal growth experiments for the space shuttle. In 16 years my team and I successfully built and flew 4 space shuttle crystal growth experiments and were working on a space station materials science experiment until NASA cancelled its materials processing in space program. At that point I left the space program and went into the commercial world. Since then I have been the director of research at a 3D imaging research and development company, worked on border security projects in the United States and in the Middle East, and have managed a renewable energy program. I started teaching for ERAU in January 2010 and have been teaching off and on since then. I look forward to learning from my students as much as I enjoy teaching!

I have developed a comprehensive capstone ePortfolio to help guide students through the PMGT690 course.  It's also my project management library where I keep all the checklists, forms and templates I use in my professional life. Students enrolled in PMGT690 automatically get access to that portfolio.  Others can contact me directly for access.
